This is like… the greatest, funniest, and somewhat-very-unique TV show discovery that I’ve ever chanced upon. Like really fuckin’ much. (Even now, their curses and accent are still ringing in my ears! Haha!)

Misfits is a British comedy-drama series about a group of young offenders forced to work in a community service programme, where they attain supernatural powers after a strange electrical storm.

Let’s take it by characters…

Name: Nathan
Description: Generally a sarcastic bastard who finds it hard to take things seriously—like really—and he loves making fun of others. In short words: a prick. But the upside is, he’s hella funny and I like this crazy dude.
Powers: I won’t spoil it. Watch it. He’s the only one who has his powers hidden from the public up until Season 1 ended.

Name: Curtis
Description: A previous and famous(?) track runner. Nothing much to say about this bloke. (WTF. See? I’m talking all-English now.) He’s not much of an asshole like Nathan is but he sure is the ‘man’ in the group. Nothing too fancy or outstanding about him though in my opinion.
Powers: Ability to turn back time. He has regrets, so he now has this ability—makes sense, yes?

Name: Simon
Description: My favorite weird and shy guy! (Who turned sexy upon Season 2). He has issues, really. But he can be quite the thinker—sometimes it gets annoying how the others can’t just guess what the problem is or something. But anyway. I LOVE SIMON. ❤
Powers: Invisibility. He’s already an introvert and yeah, he can be invisible which could multiply his being an introvert into a million times more. :)) LOL.

Name: Alisha
Description: Your typical party girl. Was a bitch at first that really, really, made me want to wring her neck—but became quite tolerant and great during the course of the seasons. And well of course, she is pretty and foxy and yes, hot.
Powers: ACTUALLY. Should her ‘special power’ be called as a ‘power’ or something? I mean, having the ability to make guys want to have raw and hardcore sex with you is such a freakin’ downside. Really now. She has the most useless power. Must be karma for all of what she had been doing. I mean, can you imagine that? The Misfits world will be in war and all she can contribute is to take one man down and make him defenseless by fucking. 

But anywaaaaay. She turned out nice and realized the suck-ish parts of her powers. Aaaand maybe because of the person she was before, this was something that she yearned—having to be able to have sex with anybody. LOL.

Name: Kelly
Description: She has a very, VERY, thick accent that most of the time I don’t even bother listening to her long dialogues at all! :)) “Fook yaw, I fookin lav yaaah!” And she has a big nose too which makes me distracted at times. LOL. She’s quite the aggressive type too but she really cares a lot about other people.
Powers: Can hear other people’s thoughts. She’s insecure right? Now her powers can make her peek more into what other people think of her.

Now before I end this, let me just list down the GOOD & FUNNY things about Misfits:

• They’re not at all pretty characters; like hello, they’re offenders and they can be pretty horrible too especially with each other even if they are friends. But they’re so unique that in the process, you see how they learn and battle with their conscience that you just have to love them.
• The storyline. I’ve never watched Heroes but they say it can be related to that—but Misfits would have to be on a totally different level. Not only because they’re younger but also because it shows how special powers can be held and managed by people when applied into realistic—and funny—terms.
• The crazy and sometimes stupid powers. Some powers possessed by the characters and extras can get pretty interesting. Some are not at all cliche.
• The crazy adventures they always get into! Like hell yeah. Always mix Nathan in and it would certainly spell a firm C-R-A-Z-Y F-U-N! It’s also funny too, it’s a comedic show anyway. But I really, really love it—the dark side or the good side, whatever.
• SIMON. He’s such a BABY at first! But the FUTURE him? Gaaaaahd, give me some of that! He may not be that handsome but it just makes me want to care for him and to just cut the crap out from being so shy!
• It’s always the probation workers that die. LOL. Really now.
• British accents. Except for Kelly. Like what Nathan said in the beginning: “Are we supposed to understand her?” LOL.

Just… hear me out. Fine there may be sex scenes, obscenities, profanities, nonsense (there are a lot of those), whatever so… yeah, you minors be wary. But really now, it’s really funny. That’s how the world works anyway, might as well know what happens. LOL WUT. So amidst the bullshit or the like, all the other stuff makes everything worth it for the series. (Their effects aren’t that great ‘cause it’s on a low budget but there’s not much need for that ‘cause they make up for it with the shaky camera effect and stuff HAHA)

Overall: This TV show is bloody great.
LOL. British language & accent for the win!
