I am pissed. I know I may not be a professional when it comes to design and whatnot… but really now. Just look at the picture above! The ‘BEFORE’ pic looks better than the ‘AFTER’ pic. ABSOLUTELY.
Story is, I’ve been given this task to do a poster for the upcoming JOB EXPO event in school. So there, I made the ‘BEFORE’ graphic work and everyone loved it! (YAY! ❤) BUT THEN some other authority has to be asked for the approval of the design and what did they say…?
“Do a green and white theme instead.”
GREEN AND WHITE.
So I did as to their instruction and wishes—I mean what can I do, right?! And look at that! It’s freakin’ uglier! Really now, I’m such in a demonic mood that I want to kick someone’s butt to the depths of hell.
Hear me out here please. I mean. People should stop pushing too much for this green-and-white motif. SURE, we’re in La Salle and we’re green but this ridiculous madness should stop :|
Just because I used the blue color—which gives more of a professional feel in my opinion—doesn’t entirely mean that we’re screaming out an ATENEO aura or something. Come on! Let’s not sacrifice a better design just because we have to go GREEN. Why? Because people in DLSU get it already that the JOB EXPO is made for and by LaSallians!!! AAAARGH. I’m rambling but do you get my point???? I’m so…. AAAAAAARGH.
I should calm down…
I’ve been seeing this “Click & Drag” images on Tumblr.
So, I tried to do one too.
…And viola! There! I did it! :))
And oh, excuse me for the image, LOL—for lack of an idea, my friend blurted this word out so I used it. Talk about random.
I never do this. And I always regret later on as I find myself scrolling down lots and lots of untitled layers as I try to find the right layer that I’m looking for.
But that’s what works for me, so whatever XD
A poster request! CSOlympics.
It has been so long since I last made a graphic work. (Well hello busy life!)
And it is really nice to be remembered by CSO when they appointed me as the Executive Publicity Head. (I’m sort of guilty yet all the same surprised because… I’m not as active as shit anymore in this org. XD)
So anyway! I’m posting this ‘cause I kinda like the result. I got a shot at being colorful! But of course, my trademark essence will and always be there: being dark and/or black.
**Dealing with the pen tool and doing those swirly freakin’ things still hurt my head even at this point!
