My 2nd fun run! Greentennial 15K event @ Fort along with Charles, Vic & Jordan last Sunday, January 23. To date, this is like the most exhausting and painful run that I’ve ever been involved with! (LOL wait, what am I saying, I’ve only been to 2 runs including this one! Haha!)
Exhausting because it’s a 15K event!!! Imagine, we ran from Fort then to Buendia, Makati then back to Fort again—and there were still a lot of turns within Fort! Painful, because 12km away from the finish line, my feet started to get blisters from the new Puma shoes that Charles gave me—it was new anyway, so yeah, you get the idea :(
So there I was, slowly running ‘cause my heels keep on scratching with the shoes—I can’t explain it well. Haha! If only this didn’t happen then my time would be faster. But then again, it was fun! ;>
Memorable things:
Wow! moment: While we were at the flyover, these Kenyan runners escorted by police in motorcycles ran by like cheetahs! I was in awe! And then, still at the flyover, the Kenyan runners flew past us again—but now, back to finish line!!!! WHAT. THE. FUCK. They’re freakin’ fast :|
My self-esteem usually goes down whenever fat and old runners pass me by. I feel so weak. LOL. No offense intended, ‘kay?
Nagging old guy. 2.5K away from the finish line, this old guy ran with me side by side and he started urging me whenever I would start walking! He pushes me to jog and not walk whenever I’m tired. It was nice of him actually, but… I would really like him to mind his own running business and not mine. HAHA!
CUTE KIDS ARE RUNNING!They’re so cute! I’ll make my kid join these fun run events in the future ;>
My body felt sore after the run and even now, my legs still hurt like hell :| Oh bejesus.
Brother’s Burgers! CHOW time with the guys as we tried to regain our lost carbohydrates! Haha!
Hereafter… we watched this movie as we drove back to Greenhills. Just to pass time. It wasn’t that good—si Vic kasi nag-request oh! HAHA Jke lang Vic!
Finally, massage/spa time! We managed to book 4 at the Happy Family Spa at Annapolis! We had to wait for the masseuses since we arrived a bit too early. We slept in our individual beds while we waited for them arrive at around 2:30 or 3:00.
Teriyaki Boy! This was for dinner. I missed eating here—most especially since I miss eating that meal… darn I forgot what it’s called. But I think it’s that raw salmon with crunchy bits and stuff. Haha! Vic & Charles weren’t raw loving people so I shared this with Jordan. Haaaay. My love for Japanese cuisine—will never disappear.
This was really a fulfilling day! ;>
And now…guess what? The guys are planning on running a 21K event! That’s half a marathon and they’re inviting me too! …and I said yes. LOL. Oh my God. Pray for me. HAHA! This time it’s for the Condura Skyway run this February 6. Check their site here: http://www.conduraskywaymarathon.com/
Did you notice the word, Skyway? It’s because we’re going to pass by SLEX. HAHA shit. See the map below, wish me luck, okay? ‘Cause I’ll really need it :))

Animo Run - Real Deal

Found this: http://www.takbo.ph/race-results/8th-animo-run-race-results

And there I found my real time:
Out of 277 runners for 10K, I am ranked 219 with a time of 1:12:52

-insert triumphant laugh-

I got faster for a minute; I thought it was 1:13 but then again looking at it, 8 more seconds and it will really be 1:13. Charles on the other hand ranked 91! HOLY MOTHER OF—and his time was 56:37.

I wanna be a health nut. Like… right now.
Ugh. I need a gym. [is competitive]

So Charles and I were looking for the pics for the Animo Run last Sunday (Nov. 21). And I found them in the Greentennial Facebook page.
Charles found his picture—he was focused in by the camera man.
Me? Well just look at the image there! That’s the only decent picture that I have. HAHA. Talk about being the background… (And oh, can you see those muscles from the two blurry guys on the right side of the picture? -ehem)
Oh, Charles was even saying that I’m freakin’ caught as walking by the camera. I say, I really am, like it’s just a walk in the park. :))
1 hour and 13 minutes! Yay![3587 is the number on my shirt, right?]

1 hour and 13 minutes! Yay!

First 10k run, finished in an hour and 13 min!

YES! YES! YES!

Charles and I just finished our first 10k run together a while ago at MOA, 6am. Well okay, not technically together, ‘cause he’s fuckin’ athletic that he’s faster than I am. After the 1k run, he was practically careening ahead of me like a hyena. :)) And I’m out of breath like a panda. He said he purposefully left me ‘cause he can’t talk to me—duh, dude, I’m saving my breath! HAHA!

He finished at around 56mins. I could still remember his surprised face when he saw me coming at 1:13. HAHAHA we were actually both expecting that I’ll finish within 2 hours or 1hr and 30mins. :)) (Minamaliit ko talaga sarili ko) But ‘lo and behold!

With my cheeks flushed and my lungs and feet about to give way, I was damn surprised when I saw the clock in the finish line! :)) Charles was right; we’re still young so I can finish it earlier than what I expect it to be. BUT IT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE SURPRISING [THE RESULT]. ‘Cause when I tried my time in the treadmill, mamatay-matay na ako sa 4k!!! Or maybe, the treadmill was lying. Or whatever.

The funny thing is, during the run, I keep on setting these ‘benchmarks’. Whenever I see a fat or old or a bit older of a lady passing by me, I get these insatiable desire to surpass them. And I do! But there was one woman who was at the same pace as mine that sometimes I can’t surpass her; hence, she was my benchmark. I made sure that I’ll finish first before her—and I did! *evil laugh*

So anyway! After the run, we went back to Charles’ place by 8am and immediately fell into a slumber together. WE WOKE UP BY 4PM! HAHAHAHA. Up to now, I still feel hot and tired that my body is going to burst from all that physical activity. Good luck to my body tomorrow!
